Judge Considers Explosion Of Toledo Street In Madrid Accidental

The judge considers the explosion of Toledo Street in Madrid accidental and files the investigation.

Everything that is known about the explosion that has collapsed part of a building in the center of Madrid.

The Court of Instruction number 35 of Madrid has agreed to file the investigation into the explosion in a parish building on Toledo Street in Madrid, where four people died.

In a car, the judge concludes that after the expert report of the Judicial Police it can be determined that the etiology of the explosion was accidental , without being able to establish a different cause.

On January 20, a gas leak caused this event at 98 Toledo Street, in a building that is owned by the Archdiocese of Madrid.

As a result of the explosion, four people died : the priest Rubén Pérez Ayala, 36; his friend David Santos, a parishioner who came to the building to try to help after the heater stopped working and he detected the smell of gas; Javier, a 45-year-old bricklayer from La Puebla Amoradiel (Toledo) who worked in the building opposite, and Stefko Ivanov, a 46-year-old Bulgarian national who was on the street at the time.
